What size am I?

(via - weheartit)

Hello lovelies, sorry that this post is a little belated. I've been a tad busy lately. One of my biggest hates is no knowing what size I am. Everywhere I go the sizing is completely different some stores I'm an eight, then in others I'm a ten and some I'm a twelve. Okay, so it all depends on the stores sizing but it's incredibly annoying. Even sometimes in the same shop I'll buy two different sized tops because one was too big/small. In different shops you can sort of understand it can be annoying but once you've got used to it it's fine but in the same shop it's irritating!

Sometimes when you're in a rush or are just simply not in the mood to try clothes on, you just want to buy something quickly and easily. Now I find increasingly that I have to try things on! In my opinion one of the worst stores for this is H&M, I absolutely love their clothes but I don't think I would buy trousers from there. In their tops I buy an eight or ten and even in the skirts I buy an extra small. Once I bought a pair of size eight trousers from there and they fit me perfectly. Another time I went in there and I tried on a ten and I struggled to do the zip up. I still wear the size eight trousers too, I could understand if I'd gained weight or something but to my knowledge I haven't and I still wear the other pair.

Please don't say I am the only one who has this problem? Sorry if it was a bit of a rant.

HAUL!

Hello lovelies, so I've been shopping again, online shopping on this occasion. I've ended up buying quite a few nail polishes. I ordered them from fragrance direct, some of you may have heard of it. They basically do make up and perfume at cheaper prices than what they are retailed for. I bought £13 worth of make up, which should've been over £45!

I purchased eight nail polishes and one lipstick, which was Rimmel's Kate Moss shade 26 and it was just two pound!
Then I also got some essie nail polishes which were all £2, £6 cheaper than the retail price! I got Fear and Desire, Mojito Madness and Off The Shoulder. £6 for all three instead of £24 at retail price, I feel I got quite a little bargain there, which is more than a good excuse for buying them.
Lastly I got Rimmels 60 Seconds nail polishes which were £1 each!! I already had two of these in Blue My Mind and Green With Envy, I bought both of these in boots a year ago and I always really liked them, they dry really fast plus they're even easier to apply. So when I saw them for £1 each I couldn't resist buying one or two or five. I got Pink Punch, Ready, Aim, Paint, Instyle Coral, Blackout and Camouflage. They're all 8ml but as you may have noticed in the picture Camouflage is actually bigger than all the rest and is 12ml, even more for your money!

I got some real bargains, plus the delivery was only two pound! You should definitely check fragrance direct out if you would like a better variety of nail polish colours or even just some nice colours for half the price.

Amfar Cannes benefit

Hello lovelies! So some of you may have known that the Amfar Cannes benefit gala was the other night and I've chose some of my favourite fashion looks for you all to look at.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, amfAR
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
I love Rosie's style, it's usually fairly simple pieces but they look so beautiful. She looks flawless here as always. I love the simplicity of her dress and the outfit. The shoes look great too. I like that she has her hair down to make the outfit even more effortless. I am thinking of doing a post on Rosie's style because she always looks stunning.

Irina Shayk, amfAR
Irina Shayk
She looks absolutely beautiful in this dress, the colour and detailing are exquisite. I love her gold clutch as it looks lovely with the pink. The dress is perfectly tailored and she looks amazing.

Bonnie Wright, amfAR
Bonnie Wright
Lastly is Bonnie Wright, again she is styled quite simple but it's still effective. She looks gorgeous. The only thing I could criticize is I think it could've been a little tighter before it pulls in at the waist but that's just me being picky.

Forever 21 jewellery haul

Hello lovelies! Now yes I have another haul for you lovely lot today but it literally just consists of jewellery after I went a little crazy in forever 21 after realizing the rings fit me, yay! At the forever 21 I go to all the rings are one size so I've been a little scared to try them on in case they're way too small for my fingers and I end up with it stuck on my finger. I decided to take the plunge and try one on and it was the perfect fit, lucky me. So I couldn't help but buy a few and a few pairs of earrings and a necklace... I seem to be a bit shopping crazy at the moment and if I'm not shopping in store I'm buying online, a little bit naughty but everyone deserves a treat every now and then, right? Plus I've been quite (by quite I mean very) stressed recently, due to exams and all that boring stuff I'd prefer not to speak of right now.

They were just a few photos of how pretty the jewellery in forever 21 is. Now for what I actually purchased.

Necklace - £2.40
Gold horse shoe ring - £2.40
Three rings set - £3.15
Crystal silver earrings - £3.90
Earrings three packs - £3.40
Rings - £3.40
Triangle earrings -£3.15

Some of the prices aren't very accurate I am doing it from memory, sorry.
So I went back to forever 21 again to have a little browse and ended up spending £30 on jewellery! Whoops. Okay it could've been worse, I did manage to leave a few things but obviously not enough. I didn't intend on buying anything but it just happened. Anyway I am quite content with my purchases. I got some lovely little bits and all at a decent price. I will definitely have to restrain myself from going back to forever 21 for a little while at least.....

Liebster award

Hello lovelies!
Today I discovered that the lovely Katy had nominated me for the liebster award, so here it is!

Now I shall get on with the 11 facts, which are surprisingly difficult to think of but here they are:
1. I know vanilla cokes only just come back to the UK but I already have a slight addiction to it!
2. My favourite food is chocolate and oreos. Can you tell what a healthy diet I have?
3. One of my favourite films is parent trap, I'll never get too old for that film! I still haven't tried oreos in peanut butter but I am determined to try!
4. I'm very easily distracted, which is really annoying when I'm trying to work.
5. Topshop is one of my favourite shops.
6. I love spring because it is a perfect excuse to wear pastel colours as much as possible.
7. I think I might have a slight shopping addiction, I'm always on clothing websites lusting over new clothes, a tad sad I know, but a girl can dream.
8. The first album I bought was atomic kitten!
9. At the moment I am obsessed with Bastille and Nina Nesbitt, if you haven't heard any of their music, you need to!
10. I'm a total girly girl, if its pink I'll buy it.
11. The last one has to be special but I can't think of any amazing revelations, so it ended up being something completely random but I am a hoarder, I'm not as extreme as the ones you see on the telly that keep literally everything but I am quite bad. I hate getting rid of things!

Questions
1. Are you a winter or a summer person?
I'm not sure, is that weird. I love summer because I like warm weather and summery colours. However trends tend to be better in the winter. But I would probably say summer!
2. Salad or Pizza?
Pizza, definitely. I don't like vegetables, in a salad I will only have cucumber and lettuce, I don't like anything else. I am a very fussy eater.
3. What is your dream job?
Now this changes a lot but I am sure that it would be something fashion related. I do have three dream job choices which are a fashion buyer, a stylist or a fashion journalist. One that's slightly un-fashion related is that I'd love to be a photographer, I say slightly because you could be a fashion photographer which I'd also love. Ultimately I would love to own my own shop, where I could buy the clothes, style the photo shoots and be the photographer.
4. Favourite perfume?
'Viva la juicy' by juicy couture or Ralph Lauren '4'.
5. Favourite place you have ever visited?
This is quite a tricky question, I love so many places, I would probably say Florida, I'm a little bit of a disney fan and when I was younger like most children I loved disney so I would have to say Florida because I had an amazing time there!
6. If you could have dinner with anyone (present or past!), who would it be?
Again such a hard question, I'm going to name a few people, it doesn't say just one, that would be too hard to choose. I love Marilyn Monroe she is stunning and just amazing and Audrey Hepburn, they are style icons! Then I love Bastille, he is just amazing! I know I'm overusing the word amazing but these people just are amazing. Nina Nesbitt she is beautiful and so is her voice. I would also invite Olly Murs, a beautiful human being once again. There's too many, I couldn't choose! My dinners turning into a bit of a dinner party! A few other names I'm just going to chuck in before I bore you all: George Orwell, Albert Einstein, Mila Kunis, Joe Swash like I said way too many!
7. What is your most prized possession?
These questions are too hard! My immediate answer was phone- how materialistic. But then I let myself do a little thinking and I would probably say my memory book, I have photos, tickets, everything you could shove into a book!
8. What skincare product can't you live without?
I'm really rubbish at skincare, I've stopped moisturizing to at  the moment because I got a new moisturizer and I started getting a few spots so I stopped using it. I'm quite lucky in the sense that I don't really get spots but this gave me quite a few.
9. Favourite video game if any?
I don't really play any video games but I do love love love the sims if that even counts.
10. Most embarrassing moment?
Wow there is honestly too many. I am easily embarrassed so there's a whole library of embarrassing moments in my life its too hard to choose one! Anything to do with speeches, presentations, all that kind of stuff. I go as red as strawberry, I speak really quietly and don't take my eyes off the floor, I just find them humiliating.
11. Do you like cats?

Yes, I actually have a cat.

My 11 questions
1. Your favourite make up product ever!
2. What's your favourite song?
3. Favourite fashion trend?
4. Who is your fashion icon?
5. Favourite things to do?
6. Favourite food?
7. Do you have any phobias?
8. What is your biggest pet peeve?
9. Where would you love to go?
10. What's your favourite thing about blogging?
11. What's your dream job?

I tag:

Everyday make up storage

Hello lovelies! You might have seen my recent haul in which I purchased a little make up organiser for a very reasonable eight pounds! I thought I would show you how I am using it and so on.

I have stored quite a bit in it. It has two little compartments at the back which aren't very visible. Then there is a large one at the front which I have put my foundation, concealer, etc in. Then there are twelve little ones which I presume are for lipsticks but I had no more room at the back so I put my Benefit They're Real mascara in there and my mini sample from Elle magazine, which if you haven't already you really should get.
It's really handy to have and everything is so organised now rather than being a total cluttered mess with everything flung across my dresser. Plus it helps me only have the stuff I will use daily there, rather than those and lots of other products I use every now and then spread across my dresser too! If you're looking to organise your make up defintely buy one of these they're so handy and have a decent price tag!

April favourites

Hello, this is a slightly delayed April favourites post seen as we are a few days into May now. Is it just me or has this year gone super fast. I'm not one for monthly favourite posts, I don't change my make up a lot I tend to stick to the stuff I have. Well, I say that but I do change quite a few things but just not monthly so it wouldn't make a very good read if the favourites are the same every time.

Models Own Nail Polishes: Fuzzy Peach, Luis Lemon & Pink Punch
I'm obsessed with neon nails this summer, especially yellow so I picked up these two models own ones which were in my haul, click here if you haven't read it and would like to. Well anyway I fancied getting the pink too and then they were 3 for 2 and I was after a peachy colour so I got fuzzy peach. They're all £5 each. I love the neon colours I have worn both and they dry really quickly. Plus they're matte nail polishes and they feel super nice when they're dry. If your liking neon nails right now, then definitely try the models own ones out.

Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy: 200 Orbit & 230 Satellite
Again these were both in my haul and these were £7.99 each. I wore the black one this weekend and it is so cute. Again it dries super fast; I get bored when I am waiting for my nails to dry and tend to get distracted easily, which leads to them smudging and being an absolute mess. I love how fast they dry which is making me extremely tempted to buy some more Revlon nail polishes. As soon as I finished my hand I waited for less than a minute and they were dry. The glittery bits look very cute too!

Revlon Lip Butter: Juicy Papaya
Again this was featured in my haul and I have also done a review that if you haven't read now you can if you click here. Wow, I have done a lot of links today. Anyway I don't want to right too much about this for those of you who have read my review, as you may find this tedious and boring. Straight to the point, it's a beautiful colour and its just amazing.

Benefit's They're Real Mascara
I don't know if this really counts as an April favourite considering I've only just started to use it in May but it's on here now. I also got a mini one free today with Elle magazine so if you don't want to splurge and buy this you can try it out first. They also sell mini ones in boots for £9.50 if you can't find Elle. Anyway enough with all the availability. It is a phenomenal (wow, big word.) mascara. It is very lengthening and volumising but it can get a little bit clumpy sometimes but other times its perfect. But I just brush through them with another mascara wand or an eyebrow brush, strange huh? I am planning to do a full review of this mascara so watch out if you're interested.

Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara
Now I have also reviewed this before so there is a link here. So again I don't want to be too boring and repeat the same things to you all. I know I got this towards the end of March but I've been loving it in April too! Anyway its really good, I personally like it a lot, not as much as the Benefit one but it is pretty close and considering it is about a third of the price, I will be repurchasing.

Real Techniques Brushes: Contour & Detailer
These were featured in my haul that I posted yesterday, click here. I love the detailer for concealer and it is the perfect size to apply concealer. Plus it is super soft and feels lovely on your skin. I like all the brushes in the collection but these are the two I seem to get the most use out of.

Sorry for the link overload.

What have you loved in April?

Little tiny haul

Hello! This is a tiny haul, it's only three things from amazon but I thought I should share it with you anyway. I got this last week and had been wanting these things for quite a while, so I was just a little excited when it arrived... I had to take photos right away because I was excited to use them! I've also recently purchased Benefits they're real mascara, finally! I haven't taken a picture but it was £19.50 from Debenhams, it was actually 10% off the day I got it so I only paid £17.55 not a lot of difference but it's better than no discount, right? I'm not entirely sure, but I thought this mascara was £18.50? Enough with the mascara talk this isn't even in the haul! Well, I guess it kind of is now... If you would like me to do a review then let me know, I'm not sure whether to or not because I'm sure a lot of you have read reviews about it.

The fault in our stars by John Green - £3.85
Acrylic make up holder - £8
Real techniques brushes core collection - £14.66

I've been wanting to buy the fault in our stars for quite a while now, everyone seems to be obsessing over how good it is, so for just £3.85 I thought I'd give it a read.
I've also been wanting an acrylic make up holder to help tidy up my everyday make up. The make up I don't wear so often is all set out reasonably nicely in designated draws but the make up I wear everyday is scattered all over the table. So I thought this would be useful to help tidy things up and keep them together all neatly. I love it, my table looks so much neater now!
Lastly is the real techniques brushes core collection, now I must admit I don't usually buy brushes, I buy the odd few that I need and use the rest from make up gift sets. I've just never been that bothered about buying any but some of them are getting a bit rough and bristles keep falling out, all that kind of stuff. So I though I'd invest in some decent brushes and everyone raves about the real technique brushes and obviously brushes isn't my forte subject so I went along with the hype. It was these or mac brushes and if I'm entirely honest I don't really want to be paying out £20 for a brush when people are saying these are just as good. So far I like them they're really soft and easy to use. The core collection is £20 in boots so I got them for £5 cheaper on amazon and they sell all the brushes, if you're interested.

Have you picked up anything good lately?

Thank you for reading, lots of love xxx

Revlon lip butter review

Hello! If you read my recent haul you may have realized I finally got a Revlon lip butter. I know, it's about time, every blogger has been raving about them for a while now, it might've been a year now! Anyway I finally got one and I completely understand the hype. I usually don't buy hyped up products because I always find them to be a let down, they usually aren't as great as you build them up to be in your mind, hence why I waited so long. The shade I got was 27 Juicy Papaya.

Sorry about my chubby fingers and my unpainted nails...

A couple of swatches.

So enough of the pictures, now for the actual review. I wasn't actually sure on the colour when I picked it up because there were no testers left, but I hoped for the best and picked it up anyway the lid colour was pretty and summery so why not take a chance? Well I did, it must've caught me in a good mood, usually I'd be pretty dubious. As soon as I got home I had to try it on, as soon as I buy make up I usually go home and try it on straight away unless it's nail polish. Am I weird, or do you do this too?
Anyway I couldn't really see it that well due to bad lighting and whatnot. But I could tell the consistency was super moisturizing, which I was delighted about. I use way too much vaseline on my lips aswell as using lipstick and it's kind of annoying when a lipstick dries out your lips. I guess this is isn't specifically a lipstick, the whole butter thing suggests that but hey.
When the lighting was good enough to see the colour, I was really happy. It's such a pretty colour and my first impression was right, very summery. At first the colours not very bright but it is easily built and you can't expect it to be extremely pigmented. It isn't advertised to be and it is so moisturizing. It acts as a lip balm so its not going to be overly pigmented. Plus it makes it better for summer in my opinion, you can have lip colour but not too bright, more effortless and easy.
I love the colour and I am so happy I got it. Now I am desperate to try out some more, at the moment I'm after candy apple.
I would give it 9/10!

Any colour recommendations for these lip butters?

Thank you for reading, lots of love xxx

Lets talk about body image and dieting!

Hello! Now this is a slightly different post to anything I've ever posted before, which can be a little nerve-racking as I don't know if it will be something you lovelies will approve of. But I hope it is! After reading an article in 'Look' magazine I found out that the average woman goes on 104 diets in a lifetime. Now if this is the average then there must be women who go on more diets than 104 which I find quite startling.

The article talked about Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha in Sex and The City, admitted she had been on a diet since 1974, that is 39 years! Now that's longer than my lifetime so far! As women why do we have such poor body image that we feel the need to diet so long? And deprive us of food and things we could possibly enjoy because we're too absorbed in this idea of the perfect body. I mean I know a lot of us would love to look like some sort of Victoria's Secret model.

Some of us just aren't made to look like this and if we all did there would be another sort of extremity we'd all be going to so that we could get a different body that we would deem as 'perfect'. Okay so we diet to get our idea of a good body image so we can exude confidence. Sometimes this isn't the case, our ideal body changes and dieting can get so extreme that it can lead to eating disorders. Yet the media still constantly talks about dieting as some type of glamorous affair. Dieting isn't the major problem I mean it is perfectly normal to diet to become healthier and more toned.

Personally I believe that more should be done to prevent girls from feeling so negatively about their bodies. Obviously we all have a body but our opinions vary on the perfect body or how we would like our body to look. Girls as young as ten are worried about their weight. Plus half of teenagers would consider surgery to change their appearance. What does that say about us as a society? I know that when I was ten, weight certainly wasn't one of my worries. Okay I didn't want to be overweight but I would never have considered dieting. If girls as young as ten are considering dieting, what are we telling them to make them feel this way? Or is it just everything on the TV? I mean we may not think children at the age of ten are paying much attention to the weight of that girl on the telly. But obviously they are and for a ten year old to feel that way, there is obviously more influence than just some girl on the telly. Is being skinny mistakenly being mixed up with being 'pretty'? I'm a firm believer in that everyone is beautiful, some people may not believe this but even if you're not beautiful to them, I guarantee you will be to someone else so we shouldn't let this crush our confidence. When you look at yourself in the mirror you are more likely to notice flaws in your appearance, or find insecurities. Once you've noticed these insecurities your eyes are drawn to them and subconsciously we work ourselves up about these insecurities. Believing they're way more noticeable than they are. Sometimes people compliment your figure and maybe at that time we will say thank you and feel flattered but it's soon forgotten. But if someone criticizes your appearance, it sticks in your mind and you always think about it, wondering if other people around you notice it. Why is this? Why can't a compliment stay with us and make us feel confident?

Many of you may have heard of the Dove real beauty campaign, I've found a few photos of the campaign if you haven't heard of it.

As I previously said there should be more campaigns about this or we should put more money into schemes like this. Not only should we use these at secondary schools, but at primary schools as well after the statistic I found earlier. If we teach children from a young age to be confident and to love their body and the skin they're in, maybe we could lower the amount of eating disorders and other problems. People may believe money should be put elsewhere but I even would say the government should inject money into these schemes. Treating an eating disorder will last a long time and cost the NHS money and other body related issues are also paid for by the NHS so putting money into a scheme would probably save money in the future and also stop the negativity between girls and create a more positive outlook on women in society.

I know this post is very opinionated and I'm terribly sorry if any of my views have offended anyone, I honestly would hate to do that.

Thank you for reading. Please comment if you like more personal posts like this and if you would like me to do any more in the future, along with my normal posts of course. Lots of love as always xxx

Haul - Forever 21, Topshop, Primark, H&M, etc.

So this is the second part of my haul which consists of all clothes. Sorry the pictures all got a little jumbled up, so none of the clothes are in shop order. Anyway let's start the photos!

H&M
Mint green jumper - £14.99

Forever 21
Lace peplum top - £16.75

Topshop
Joni Jeans - £36

New Look
Shirt - £15

River Island
Space print blouse - £28

Forever 21
This is the back of the top, the front is plain so I thought I'd show the back.
Bow top - £14.75

Primark
Peplum tops - £4 each

H&M (Apologies for the photo, it isn't too great!)
Orange mesh top - £4
Yellow flower top - £14.99

Forever 21
Mint acid wash top - £12.75

So these are the lovely clothes I bought, I did purchase a couple of dresses too but I found them too hard to photograph!
Most of you have probably heard about Topshops Joni jeans, they're vintage looking high waisted jeans. They're so flattering and stretchy around the legs too. So if you aren't that interested in buying a pair of high waisted jeans but want a pair of skinny jeans I would definitely recommend these, they're the perfect fit. I might have to buy them in a slightly different colour. Which says a lot for me as I'm not a huge fan of jeans!
You might've seen from the first part of this haul I got quite a few bits of jewellery from Forever 21, I also found quite a few nice bits of clothes, there were a few other bits that I picked up but they were dark colours and the weathers started to lighten up recently so I've been feeling rather summery. I put the other bits back, they were too wintery, even though it probably wasn't the best idea the weather does seem to be pretty unpredictable, but I was too excited for summer and lovely warm weather. It's about time the sun came out to say hello!
You may be able to tell most of the clothes I bought were summery! Or summery colours, but why not I need to be excited about something! Plus I love pastel colours so there was no better excuse to buy pastel coloured clothes than spring/summer!
H&M definitely have some lovely summer clothes in at the moment, after receiving their catalogue, I had a huge list of things to get but didn't see any of them in store which I was quite disappointed about. They had a few bits but they were the wrong colour or size. However I did find some other goodies that were just as amazing. I have been H&M since too and found a few other lovely bits. I know two shopping trips to H&M in a week, a little crazy!
As you may be able to tell I'm absolutely in love with mint green, I love the colour and would probably count it as one of my favourites! Everywhere I went had mint green clothes I was overwhelmed and decided to buy just a few bits. It was definitely my choice of colour!
Now I've bought most of my spring clothes I just need the weather to warm up now too!

Thanks for reading, lots of love xxx

Anyone else excited for summer?

Beauty, Jewellery and Accessories Haul - New Look, Forever 21, Primark, etc.

Sorry it has been a little while since my last post. It's just been one of those weeks where life gets in the way of things. The other day I embarked on a long shopping trip, which was over six hours! But I haven't been shopping for a while, which is what I've been saying to reassure myself that what I spent was perfectly acceptable... Anyway enough of the self loathing for spending too much. I've decided to split my haul into two parts because I didn't want it to be too long for you! So this post will be jewellery, make up, bags, shoes and so on. The next one will be all clothes!

Revlon lip butter - Juicy Papaya - £7.99

Like I said I did pick up quite a bit. I love American sweets so when I saw this little stall I couldn't help myself. I bought mint M&Ms, cherry laffy taffy and Wonka chewy runts. All I can say is why don't they sell mint M&Ms in the UK? They're amazing! If you ever see some pick them up! Although M&Ms cost about 60p for a normal packet and the mint M&Ms cost nearly £2! Quite a lot for a packet of sweets, but I was in a good mood and decided to treat myself.
I got to the shoe section of Primark, which was full of sandals but I felt it wasn't warm enough to be buying sandals quite yet. But a few pairs of shoes caught my eye, usually I don't buy shoes in Primark, sometimes I do but I never find this many pairs that I like. The first was a pair of black loafers which have little triangle cut outs which are quite cute. The next to were both on offer. The cream studded loafer were reduced from £10 to £6 so I couldn't help myself. The last pair of shoes the black studded ballerina flats said they were £6 and when I got to the till they were only £3, but hey I'm not complaining!
Everyone raves about forever 21 jewellery but the first time I went in there I wasn't impressed there were a few bits that were okay, but nothing majorly caught my eye. But this time I went in there and there were loads of bits I loved, I could've bought so much more but I had to restrain myself. There was another necklace that I was desperate to buy but they only had it on display, but all the other jewellery goodies certainly made up for it.
Lastly I went to Boots and the main reason I went in there was to buy the Revlon moon candy nail polishes, I also wanted to get a blue one but they were sold out, so I opted for a Revlon lip butter instead. It was 3 for 2, so I had to get one more thing. I was also on the search for a neon yellow nail polish and found a Models Own one. I've already tried it out and have to say I'm pretty impressed. I only have one other nail polish by Models Own so I was kind of new to their nail polishes and from the yellow one I'm impressed. The one I already have is a glitter top coat so not a proper nail polish like these, if you get what I mean. Also I received a free sample of the Garnier moisture match moisturizer and I loved it so I decided to pick one up, plus it was £2.50 off!

Thank you so much for reading, lots of love xxx

Have you picked up anything new lately?
